Didier Lebon’s practice encompasses a broad range of commercial work in domestic and cross-border litigation and arbitration. He is highly experienced in disputes arising in, but not limited to, agency contracts, distribution and franchising agreements, sudden termination of a business relationship, and “business divorce”. He has also specific expertise in disputes involving private international law issues. His legal expertise also includes serving as an expert before foreign courts. Didier Lebon was educated in France and in England (Lille 2 University, France (1983) DEA (Postgraduate diploma) in Private Law, Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, France (1986), DEA in Private international Law and International business Law). Didier Lebon has written academic works in private international law and is currently a lecturer at the EDHEC Business School (Lille, France), at the MDI Alger Business School (Algiers, Algeria), at the Lille 2 University School of Law (France) and at the Lille 3 University (France). Peggy Carlier’s area of expertise covers Private International Law, Commercial Law, International Family Law, Contracts, Torts, Persons and Assets for Private Clients She obtained a PhD, awarded with distinction, at Lille 2 University, France, for her research on “How to Use the Lex Fori in the conflict of laws process”. Peggy Carlier has also written academic articles on international torts, notably in the Revue des Affaires Européennes/Law and European Affairs Review and in the Journal de Droit International (le Clunet). She wrote several reports on Comparative Law (Procedural Law - France and Belgium; Law applicable to matrimonial regime - France and England) and translated from legal English terminology to French at The Hague Conference Library and at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. Peggy Carlier conducted legal research, analysis and writing related to the applicable law on contractual obligations at The Hague Conference on Private International Law in the Netherlands. She also served there as Recording secretary for the Special Commission on the practical operation of some Hague Conventions and for the Counsel for General Affairs. She is currently lecturer in Family law at Artois University School of Law (France).
